Anda suka tikus?..atau anda benci tikus?..Jom kita share beberapa fakta berkenaan tikus yang mungkin kita tidak tahu atau memang sedia maklum..
1) In some cities the rat population outnumber the people population. Contohnya, seorang petani di Australia mendapati 28000 ekor tikus mati di hadapan rumahnya setelah dia melakukan
pengumpanan (baiting with rats poison). 70000 ekor lagi mati di ladang gandumnya.

2) Setiap tahun tikus menyebabkan kerugian melebihi USD 1 billion. (RM3.5 Billion) di Amerika .

3)Water doesn’t stop or scare Norway rats. The can swim as far as a half mile in open water, dive
through water plumbing traps and travel in sewer lines even against heavy currents. So, anda dapat
bayangkan bagaimana tikus Norway ini boleh berada dikediaman dan premis perniagaan anda
dengan mudah. Mungkin air pili bomba boleh menghalang tikur Norway ini dari travel across your
home.
4) Tidak seperti haiwan lain, gigi taring tikus akan sentiasa tumbuh dan boleh tumbuh sehingga 5 inci
setahun. Keadaan ini menyebabkan tikus sentiasa mengigt apa sahaja benda yang lebih lembut dari

7) Rats may fit through openings as small as half an inch.
8) Female rats may mate as many as 500 times with various male rats during a six hour period of receptivity- a state she experiences about 15 times per year. Thus a pair of brown rats can produce as many as 2000 descendants in a year if left to breed unchecked. A rat will mature sexually at age 3 to 4 months. An average rat lives 2 to 3 years.
9) Terdapat sebuah Kuil Hindu di India yang mendedikasikan rumah ibadat tersebut sebagai rumah bagi kira-kira 20 000 ekor tikus. Many people travel far to pay respect to the rats, which are believed to be reincarnations of Karni Mata and her clansmen.

Sebenarnya banyak lagi fakta-fakta menarik yang boleh dikongsikan berkenaan dengan tikus. Anyway, rat is a pest. we don’t want to live with them weather in our home or our office.
